Action Fraud reported that COVID-19 fraudsters have stolen £34.5 million in scams with impersonation, purchase and investment scams being the most prevalent.
The recent Royal Mail parcel delivery scam has also been particularly widespread with many affected. Barclays Bank has handled over 150,000 fraud calls in March alone.
